Complete Video Surveillance
Systems
Putting together a combination of surveillance
cameras and video
recording equipment to achieve a complete video surveillance system, can
be a frustrating experience the first time you do it. Like
just
about anything else, the process is actually very simple
after
you have gone through the drill once. Finding the right type of
security cameras and video recorders individually is pretty straight
forward because virtually everything is compatible, but sometimes
you end up with one critical item missing. I have
to
say...This Sucks! when you are all ready to fire it up and test it out,
and you have to wait on a two dollar connector before you hit pay
dirt. Purchasing a
complete video surveillance system can save a lot of heartache.
Don't Sweat the Small Stuff.
We have a techno-geek that can talk you
through it
if he has to, but we would really rather your entire buying and set-up
experience be without stress. To that end, we put
together a
selection of complete video surveillance
systems.
The most obvious benefit of a complete
video surveillance system is that we've taken away all of the
guess-work. You also get a price break (because you are
buying
more stuff...go figure).

Wireless Spy Cameras or Wired Hidden
Camera
Systems: Often
it just isn't practical to set-up an overt
surveillance system. A covert system with hidden
cameras comes into play here. The hidden spy cameras are built
into everyday items so you can be as discreet as necessary.
Whatever the camera sees is recorded directly
to the attached DVR reducing the chances of interference and
disrupted recording. As I said before, know what the rules
are so
you don't get yourself into trouble when employing covertly.
Serious Surveillance
4, 8
or 16 Channel DVR Systems: These
DVR complete video surveillance systems will work to secure most any
size
area. Realize with the wired systems, you have to be very
creative with placement unless you are ok with an overt system.
Covert security with hidden cameras is still possible wired,
but
a wireless spy camera system makes the covert business much easier.
Wired or wireless, all of these complete video
surveillance
systems come with a DVR and all the necessary cables and components.
DVR systems can get expensive, but with the use of DVR
cards
your system can grow as your operation grows. You can always
start out small and expand as you are able. Either way, people
will know you mean business
with a system like this.
Computer Based Video System
VISEC
Complete Video Surveillance System:
A VISEC complete video surveillance system allows you to log
on to the Internet and see what is going on when you are not there.
It is a relatively inexpensive surveillance method and has a
great covert operating mode. VISEC
installs on an existing computer and records up to four wired or
wireless cameras. Having a surveillance system like this is a huge
bonus for day cares (and people with nannys), animal boarding
facilities, vacation homes or for
just keeping an eye on things while you're away.
The Mac-Daddy of Spy Video
Surveillance
Portable
DVR Systems:
We call these the Private Investigator or Investigative
Reporter complete video surveillance system. These systems
are fully self-contained and very mobile. A portable DVR
system is
great
for
situations where you are using a wireless hidden or professional
camera. Your job is simply to get the disguised camera into proper
surveillance position. The video signal is sent
directly
from
the camera to the DVR for recording. Pulitzers are won with
these...not to mention cheating spouses busted!
